Bol Bol was pretty hyped up last season after the Miami Heat drafted him in the 2nd round in 2019, and subsequently traded to the Denver Nuggets. Initially he was mentioned as a top 5-10 pick, but slid to #44 overall. A former McDonald’s All American, he was considered one of the best prospects for the upcoming draft while playing at Oregon as a freshman.
A 7’2″ skinny big guy, with a wingspan of about 7’8″, he’s a shot blocking and rebounding dream, and a splitting image of his dad, with a fantastic outside shot.
Investment Pros: Tremendous upside, and can be exactly the type of threat the Nuggets need to win it all, especially coming off the bench. He plays on a very good team who should once again give Lebron a run this season. Even with limited time, look for him to be on the court in some big situations. Only 21 years old. And of course, name recognition. Everyone loves a great name. Bol Bol, son of fan-favorite Manute Bol.
Investment Cons: Centers just don’t generally do as well in basketball cards for some reason. 2nd rung to Jokic, his playing time will be limited. With all of Denver’s weopons, his playing time will be limited. Possibly injury prone.
